In 2016, I identified a pattern in music that I called the Millennial Whoop and my analysis went viral, generating over 35M views across platforms.
After publishing the original article on my own site, The Patterning, discussions started on sites like Metafilter, Reddit, and Digg. Then Quartz made a video, Slate reprinted me, and a swarm of hundreds of outlets across the planet caught on.
I was interviewed by the BBC, CBC, and got to deliver a TEDx Talk in Istanbul.
